I. Call to Order: 7:04pm
II. Welcome / Introductions:
- Thank you to the Santa Rosa Kiwanis Club for sending 4 members. Al Miller,
Doug, John and Beau were all present.
- Thank you to our SRJC Club Advisor Sandra Feldman for joining us. She will
also attend the Circle K Convention with us in March.
III. Reports:
- Inter Club Council Rep:
- Softball game April 27th. Keep that date free! It should be lots of fun
playing games with lots of other clubs.
- Campus Activities Board: Casino Night is on March 21st. We still need lots
of volunteers to show up and help support this. It should be a fun night.

IV. New Business:
A. Suburban Kiwanis Meeting: Tuesday, February 19th 12-1:30pm at Eqqus. If
you are interested in finding out what a Kiwanis meeting is like, please let
us know.
B. Another opportunity to see a Kiwanis Meeting, for the Redwood Empire
Kiwanis Club Thursday February 21st 7am-8am.
C. And yet ANOTHER Kiwanis Meeting: Santa Rosa Kiwanis, Thursday February
21st 12:10-1:30pm. If you need more information about these Kiwanis meetings,
or need a ride, please let one of us know.
D. ** THE DCM HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR 2/17 @ CMA… it has been rescheduled the
same day as the LSSP (Large Scale Service Project) on 2/23 9:30-3:30pm.
E. Cabbage Feed with the Suburban Kiwanis Club March 13th and 14th. We will
be scrubbing potatoes and helping them out for their annual fundraiser. More
info to come at the next meeting.
F. Interface Shelter: March 16th with the Redwood Empire Kiwanis Club. We
will be cleaning up and putting our carpentry skills to use! It should be
lots of fun helping out this shelter as well as working along with our
Kiwanis Club.
G. C.A.B: (Campus Activities Board) 3/21 Thursday: Casino Night. Volunteers
still needed!
H. DISTRICT CONVENTION!!!!!! (March 22-24th-Fri, Sat and Sun) "Circle K to
the Rescue" is the theme, so start planning if you want to get involved and
wear a costume! We are trying to get lots of people to join! So far, it looks
like it will be the most people we have ever attend a convention! Keep up the
good work guys! Brief note: $65.00 is DUE BY THURSDAY, or make arrangements
with RENEE at: violet1478@yahoo.com The $65 covers 2 nights in a hotel,
transportation down there, 3/5 meals, lots of workshops, and more! I am
sending out another e-mail with more details soon! So, contact us if you have
any problems or questions!
I. National Youth Service Day: April 27th. Eric: Get back to us on this one!

J. International Convention: Still far away, yet something to consider. We
are attending the International Convention in Orlando Florida in August, so
be on the look out for more information!
V. Discussion:
- With out hesitation, we all voted on the new T-shirt. They will be
available shortly!
- Banquet: Any suggestions should be sent to Rachael Smith at:
gypsy_bubble@hotmail.com
- Scholarships: For those of you who are dues paid members, please remember
that the scholarships are available now, and need to be turned in SOON! Let
us know if you are interested in getting one.
- Day under the Oaks: May 5th. A LARGE fundraiser as well as getting our
name out there! It will be lots of fun, and there has been a lot of talk
about trying to sell cotton candy! We’ll see what happens! You all should
come out and enjoy this annual event filled with lots of fun!
VI. Announcements:
- Students for Measure "A" are looking for people Wed and Thursday nights to
man their phone bank 5:30-8:30pm. We will be going this Thursday as a CKI
group meeting in front of the Student Affairs Office at 5pm. If interested,

- Awards as well as the MRP (membership Recognition Program) are due soon,
so the last day to turn in any hours to me is February 25th! Please if you
have completed any volunteer hours, let me know so you can receive credit for
them at the Convention! Why work so hard, and not get recognized? TALK TO ME
PEOPLE! :-p
