IV. Old Business:

  1. MEASURE A IS NOW OVER! Thanks to everyone who went to the phone bank and called up those lovley Absentee Ballots! I am glad many of you had good and pleasant experiences with the voters on the other end of the line, but I can officially say that I have a much higher respect for telephone operators! I will never do it again! :) I HOPE THAT MEASUERE A PASSES, so all of my suffering through that bad experience with a bitter man will make him even more bitter! Naaaa.. I am just kidding! We need to get Measure A to pass so the SRJC can get the re-building that it truly needs!
  2. New Business:
  3. Redwood Empire Kiwanis Meeting: 7:00AM @ Coco's on Farmer's Lane. E-mail Renee if you are interested in going.

  6. INTERFACE SHELTER with the Redwood Empire Kiwanis Club. March 16th. Its also Total K-Day, so it would be great if we could all help out our Kiwanis or Key Clubs.

  9. SR KIWAINS BAKE SALE: What, you think you get to bring your 50 cents and buy a cookie?? WRONG! WE ARE MAKING MASS AMOUNTS OF COOKIES, Cakes, and other goodies to sell as a FUNDRAISER FOR OUR CLUB at their meeting! Any Kiwanians give us some of your favorites and we will pretend we are Martha Stewert and make something happen! Also, Rob mentioned a bake off / movie night/ another NO SLEEP NIGHT! We will talk more about that at the next meeting, and it will be on a wed. night, and we have NO school the next day, so I would think that MANY OF YOU WILL MAKE IT!!!! RIGHT?? ok. Thats what I thought! :)
  10. Softball Tourney: (4/27)We are unsure if we are participating, because some of you were a weeee bit chicken to raise your hand, so we will give you all another week to think about this!
  11. ROSE PARADE: WE NEED A TOTAL HAND COUNT! If you are thinking about volunteering, but not sure, DONT TELL US UNTIL YOU CAN MAKE IT FINAL! We can't be backing out! Once you say you are in, you are in! I will come to your house and drag you out of bed, and make you hold a banner like you have never held one before! OK! So VOLUNTEER FOR THE ROSE PARADE! PLEASE!!! YOU GET A FREE T-SHIRT! You get a free lunch! You get.. uhh well, MAYBE BE ON TV LIKE RENEE AND I LAST YEAR... so just COME OUT AND HAVE FUN!
  12. International Convention: Aug. 10th-Aug 14th. Start saving up, if you are interested in going!

VI. Discussion:

  1. I was looking through the scholarship office, and found a scholarship for the Petaluma Kiwains Club. If you graduated from a Petaluma highschool, and are transfering to a 4-year college next year, and want money, LET ME KNOW! Or head on into the scholarship office, next to Maginni Hall!
  2. Congrats to our 2 new members who got inducted tonight! Rob and We! GOOD JOB GUYS!

VII. Announcements:

  1. Student health service needs volunteers to help present information about Tay-Sachs disease screening program in classrooms and to perform other outreach activities. If you want to do this call Oriana @ 527-4445 or e-mail her at obiela@yahoo.com
  2. We will be holding elections in these coming months. Since many of us wont be here next year including myself, we need to start now to build a strong club for next year! We are totally willing to teach and train you how to take over a position. I have had experiences with all of these positions, and they have taught me so much! Well worth it! As long as you manage your time well, then you are good to go! So please think about it! Any questions, let us know!
