Parenting and Education Homepage

If you enjoy quotes like this one from Abraham Lincoln:
Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.
then you will probably enjoy this site.

Have you ever been at sea in a dense fog, when it seemed as if a tangible white darkness shut you in and the great ship, tense and anxious, groped her way toward the shore with plummet and sounding-line, and you waited with beating heart for something to happen? I was like that ship before my education began, only I was without compass or sounding line, and no way of knowing how near the harbor was. "Light! Give me light!" was the wordless cry of my soul, and the light of love shone on me in that very hour. - Helen Keller

For many years Stacey and I have marveled at the intelligence and independence of our three children.

We have listened to suggestions from friends and family that we could benefit many others by finding
some way to share our experiences with parenting and educating our children.

This site is our first foray into the wilderness of beginning that process and, we hope, the forum for
exchange with others who would like to share questions, observations, and suggestions.
