Nature’s textures have no equal in their uniqueness. Capturing natural texture in a photograph shares the experience of discovery. I search for textures enhanced by the ancient elements of our world; earth, wind, water, fire. The images frolic with the viewer’s imagination and unleash their creativity visualizing not just the actual image, but a collage of images created in the contrast between light and dark areas and manifested by the viewer’s personal life experiences. The work invokes a desire to stroke the print with an expectation the texture may be physically felt.
