BIOGRAPHY

Born in Chicago, Ill., March 6, 1940. Coincidentally, Michelangelo was born on March 6. However, my beginnings as an artist is more like "Grandma Moses", as I began to paint in the year 2000 at age sixty.

I started painting with "water-based" oils, experimented with other mediums, but returned to the oil medium and have been using water based oil on canvas for all my paintings. My subjects are varied; landscapes, figures, animals, flowers, etc. and painted on large canvasas. My frames are custom made of red oak wood, I stain the wood with a color that compliments the painting, then I put canvas and frame together into what I feel is a pleasing, tasteful, combination.

My background as an athlete equates to my artistic skills, both are extremely self-satisfying and pleasurable for others to view, hope you enjoy my paintings.

The artist is a receptacle
for emotions that come
from all over the place;
from the sky, from the
earth, from a scrap of
paper, from a passing
shape, from a spider's
web.
