American Philharmonic Site Deliverables

Pages, Files, and Folders

The final website will consist of a home page (filename "index.html"), sixteen second-level pages, and two third level pages. Links will be included to the fourteen Kurt Ackerman photo gallery pages and six video presentation pages currently on the site, and likewise to the email subscription pages. The current moving graphic splash page and the moving graphics on some of the other pages will no longer be present in the new website ("swf" files).

File structure and file names have been chosen to preserve the current addresses of files at the site wherever possible. The folders currently on the site will remain as is. An "images" subfolder of the "html" folder will be created to hold the images used in the design of the site.

Common Elements on First-Level and Second-Level Pages

Each first-level or second-level site page will have the following elements:

  1. Logo supplied by the client.
  2. Design elements (including the color scheme and layout) as approved by the client.
  3. Text navigation links for all seventeen first-level pages, as approved by the client. The navigation links will be:
    • Home (index.html)
    • Concerts (concerts.html)
    • Music Director (our-music-director.html)
    • Support Our Mission (support.html)
    • Volunteer and Audition (how_to_volunteer.html)
    • What's New (whats_new.html)
    • About the Orchestra (about-the-orchestra.html)
    • Musicians (musicians.html)
    • Become a Member (membership.html)
    • Young Artist's Program (young_artists_program.html)
    • Multi Media (media.html)
    • Press Room (news.php)
    • Plaudits, Articles, and Reviews (plaudits.php)
    • Board and Staff (organization.html)
    • Friends and Supporters (friends.html)
    • Corporate Partners (corporate_partners.html)
    • Contact Us (contact.html)

Elements on Tertiary Pages

The two thank-you third level pages will include the common elements, except for the navigation; these pages will only have a return link, instead of the full navigation.

The Kurt Ackerman folders, sub-folders, page files, and image files will be retained "as is" in the new site; similarly, the Listmessenger Pro folders and files and the embedded video page files will be retained as is. Note that the Kurt Ackerman photo gallery pages and the Listmessenger Pro email subscription pages display a logo; this logo and the maintenance of this logo are the client's responsibility.

Video, Photo Galleries, Server-Side Document Retrieval, and Email Subscription

Every effort will be made to retain the video, document retrieval, photo gallery, and email subscription capabilities as implemented on the current site. The client is responsible for proprietary software and server-side requirements with regard to these capabilities, as well as for the retention of any necessary folders and files.

The client is also responsible for ensuring section 508 compliance of videos, documents, pages, and images retrieved through these capabilities.

Website Delivery

Backup of the old website prior to installation of the files of the new website and verification of the restore capability from that backup is the client's responsibility.

The folders and files for the website (except for proprietary and server-side files, the Kurt Ackerman folders, pages, and image files, and the video page files) will be delivered on CD or DVD to the client.

Upload to the client's server is the client's responsibility.

Assistance and limited training will be provided to the client in connection with the initial implementation of the site.

The designer's permission is required to use his page design or design elements in other media distributions.
