Look in the Treasure Box...

Welcome to my online Corner of the world--featuring photos of treasures from the past; including 1950's furniture, glassware, costume jewery, a cow's skull, vintage dresses and many other gems. I hope you enjoy visiting it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Features of the Site

I have included photos, links to other sites, and commentary on where the items I am selling originate. You can also find descriptions of each item along with their dimensions; how you can purchase them, and the cost of delivery to your home. If you are interested in any the items listed please send me a note.

I am sure you have heard the phrase one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Where do I find my treasures?

Much of the furniture I have for sale is from my parents house in Minnesota. My family used it in the 1950's and when it became dated--it went downstairs to our furnished basement. In the winter we spent a lot of time in the basement; especially for holidays when the relatives came.

The glassware I have is from Minnesota and also from rummage sales I attented. I love to check out the sales on an early weekend morning. You never know what you will find.

My Antiques

There are some antiques on the Windy's Corner website. I have an old radio, an old pendulum clock, a trunk dated 1850 that came with my grandparents from Norway, an antique gold watch I found at a rummage sale when I was young; a neat box that used to hold thread from an old singer sewing machine, even an embroidered eagle standing on a shield with flags on either side.
